| Biography Dominic Monaghan was born in Berlin, Germany on December 8, 1976 but moved to England when he was 12. Monaghan can speak fluent German as a result of his upbringing, but always spoke English at home. Dominic is well known for his ability to do fantastic impersonations. He often returns to his home in Manchester, England to visit his family and cheer on his favourite football team, Man United. Dominic studied English Literature, Geography, and Drama at Six Form College. It was there that he was offered the co-starring role in "Hetty Wainthorpp Investigates", which aired for four seasons. His other television roles include "This is Personal: The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper" and Monsignor Renard. Dominic has also starred in a number of theatre productions including the UK world premier production of The Ressurectionists. Whale and Annie and Fanny From Bolton to Rome. He has been facsinated with films since watching Star Wars at the age of 6. Dom's other interests include writing, playing/watching football(soccer), music, fashion, and surfing.
