The reason I bought this cel: This is a cel I first saw on YJ. At that time I was not really interested in bidding on it. I really did not have a lot of direction when I first started collecting and I ended up passing on some good cels and buying some cels that I was not really attached to. After I completed my wishlist, I had more focus in my collecting and knew pretty much which cels I wanted. That is when I realized what a terrible blunder I had done when I did not try to even bid on this cel. I love this scene at the end of the episode. But even more, I love the background in this scene and the far off look Melfina has.
The more and more I saw this cel on Maiken2051's cel gallery the more I fell in love with this cel. I knew Maiken2051 did not really like to make trades but I had to atleast make an offer. Fortunetly, Maiken2051 was not partial to Melfina cels and Maiken2051 was willing to trade the Melfina for one of my Faye cels. Even though I was trading a cel that was $300 more than the Melfina cel I had to do it. I am so glad I made the trade because this is now one of my most cherished cels. Now if I could only get the Gene cel (#12) from this scene...
In this scene(spoiler)...: This cel appears in the final minutes of the series. Melfina is placing flowers on a grave for all of the people who died because of the Leyline. I am sure in some way she was doing this to remember Harry MacDougall. |
