We are doing this marathon in honor of Kevin Weindorff a five year old boy who has Acute Lyphocytic Leukemia. Kevin is currently in remission but will be taking Chemotherapy treatments until February 2002. Without the fundraising efforts of marathoners, ten years ago Kevin and others like him would not have lived to have a full life and 100% recovery. But with the funds that marathoners are raising for research, hopefully eventually all forms of Leukemia will be cured.
