| Hi, my name is Kim and I'm a coaching assistant with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America.� On December 9, 2001, I along with four other coaches, will be leading a group of runners and walkers to the Honolulu Marathon in Hawaaii.� To do this marathon (26.2 miles), this group will train 5 days a week for 5 months and must raise $4,200 each in fundraising for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which will be used for research.� Please scroll down and see below: I |

| We are doing this marathon in honor of Kevin Weindorff a five year old boy who has Acute Lyphocytic Leukemia.� Kevin is currently in remission but will be taking Chemotherapy treatments until February 2002.� Without the fundraising efforts of marathoners, ten years ago Kevin and others like him would not have lived to have a full life and 100% recovery.� But with the funds that marathoners are raising for research, hopefully eventually all forms of Leukemia will be cured. | |||||||||||||||
