| Kim and Barb's Honor Patients |
| Walking and Running Marathons is hard work...it is a test of endurance, both physically and mentally. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society assigns each marathon group an honor patient to keep close to our hearts as we face our marathon challenge. We wear bracelets with our honor patients names on them as we race and we know that when we think we can't take another step we can remember our honor patient and remember that one more step is easier than going through Chemo or Bone Marrow Transplants. We are encouraged by the news that some of our honor patients wouldn't be alive today without the work done in research to come up with a cure. Someday there may no longer be blood related cancers! Below are some of our honor patient hero's and other honor patients that have touched our lives! |
