Ray: Worked with (her in) one series.
FDJ: Okay, we've hear these three names Tavia, Myolie...
Ray: Ah, if talking about working with the most, it should be Tavia. And we are the same year in training class.
FDJ: Classmate.
Ray: Yes, so we knew each other for many years. "Muk ky" [this word is kinda hard to explain, but basically, it kind of like the word compatible...like you don't have to say it and there's an understanding], definately...uh, I think should be the best (Tavia).
FDJ: Next, Myolie... [something] ...Survivor's Law.
Ray: Back then, it was VERY happy, because we can act out our characters to our greatest.
FDJ: Like big brother Ben.
Ray: Yeah. Myolie catches up quickly...can match pretty good.
FDJ: We'll continue to read names. Next is Mr Raymond Lam's most matching actress is Leila.
Ray: The Last Breakthrough...Leila's feel is like a little girl, although she is my senior. I too watched her when I was little. But, she ah...we worked together in TOB, but not a lot of filming together. TLB, pretty good, filmed for a few months...acting...definately no problem, not to mention she's a senior.

Ray: Before, worked together in two series. LWVB and EH, ancient, haven't worked together in modern.
FDJ: Do you think she's prettier in ancient or in modern?
Ray: Uh, to tell you the truth, I think she's better in ancient.

Ray: Personality-wise we are not the same. Perhaps our personalities are not the same so we are compatible.

Ray: Yeah, yes. No, maybe..huh, how can I say...maybe actually we've known each other for many years, but really know each other/close is 2, 2 or 3 years ago is very close. Uh...our conversation topics are similiar, thoughts are similar. Although the way we do things and say things are not very similar, but both our...eh, how to say...likes and both our hobbies, like playing video games, listening to music.
FDJ: But [something...couldn't hear clearly]'s feeling is similar, more "wun joong" [can't explain this word...but it's a compliment =9], a more manly guy.
Ray: My vocal cord is just thick.
FDJ: Because you guys are very young, not even 30 but already very manly. (Ray laughs)
MDJ: But you two have something the same, which is also so dark. Do you two suntan together?
Ray: Lamp tan together, but not the same machine, don't worry. (everyone laughs)
FDJ: So actually, do you guys that when your skin is paler is it not as stronger (health-wise). Feel that dark is manlier?
Ray: Actually, not. Why tan darker? Because we film series and don't have enough sleep...

FDJ: Singer, yeah. Then on to The Last Breakthrough. Have you actually thought about when can you bring us your individual album?
Ray: Eh...I actually want to, but to tell you the truth...actually I'm happy now because company lets us sing themesongs/subthemes with our own singing style...it's already given a lot more opportunities for us to develop in this field. As for individual album, I think in the short-run, because have to film series, very hard to fit in the time for it. But hopefully, company will help us give us more opportunities to sing.
MDJ: But if now you have the opportunity for you to choose, to fully be a singer or to fully film series, which will you choose? Usually, people would ask this.
Ray: Hmm, originally singing and acting is not very same. Like in singing, definately I'd like to, because before acting I learned singing first. So acting, I learn as I do it. I would give some time to practice first, because you can't NG when singing, there are lots of live shows. When acting, if the emotions aren't filmed right, you can NG, can do it again. But you can't in singing, because too many live things. If want to keep the level up, really have to give some time to practice the voice or breaths.
MDJ: Now you've sung several songs, but have you felt there are places that are not as good that you want to fine tune?
Ray: Wah, I feel there are so much.
MDJ: But so far we don't hear any, everyone praises your singing.
Ray: It's dubbed over! No, but every time recording themesongs or subthemes, I'm filming series. There's TLB and before there are several songs. From that time I am filming series, even when not in Hong Kong. I fly back for 1 or 2 days, go into the studio...
FDJ: Like even when your voice is not open and you have to do it
Ray: Before that day I would force myself to practice that song, but wouldn't be in a good shape, because when filming series, it's tiring, and flying back and forth.
FDJ: How about this time's Realize?
Ray: Realize's time is considered better. Actually, during Realize I am filming (Leathal Weapons of Love & Passion?), I flew back from Beijing. So more time, I have 2 or 3 days to practice, so it's pretty good.
FDj: Before, have asked Ron...turns out he already has a habit, if everyday he sleeps more than 3 hours, he will actually get a headache.
Ray: Really?
FDJ: He already got to the point where napping for 2 or 3 hours will do the job.
Ray: Actually, it will.
FDJ: Will you?
Ray: I haven't gotten as serious as getting headaches. But sleeping more will actually get us more tired. Because, to tell you the truth, to actually replenish sleep...I give you 2 days and it's not enough, you can't replenish the loss of sleep from before. So mind-as-well keep it this way... because young guys, don't have to sleep so much, waste of time.
FDJ: Because actually a lot of fans, other than saying who they think you match with, very "sak" ["kiss", but mean to care for & be good to], say "oh Ray, how many hours do you sleep now? Are you exhausted? Is it hard for you?..."
Ray: Thanks. Thanks for caring. First of all, this [something...can't hear clearly] is better...eating good and sleeping enough. Just finished filming Yummy Yummy...
FDJ: So many things to eat. I saw you guys eating noodles, bowl after bowl...
Ray: But actually, we can't eat it...can't swallow it, when filming. Like in front of the camera it's originally very tasty...
FDJ: It's been put there so long
Ray: Yeah. In filming you only see what's filmed. When they shout "cut", beside us is a bowl for us to spit it back out...because it's become cold. So even if it's tasty, it's far from it.
FDJ: Do you think that you are now a person who constantly fly?
Ray: Actually now is better. Because the following films don't have to go back to other countries, to other places. So it's a little better. So flying is usually for promotions, and other overseas and other areas have to promote in.

MDJ: But when talking about always going around to other places to work or so many different jobs, your look is pretty alert/awake. Compared to before when we saw you, you were very dark, but now you're not that dark but still look alert/awake...how can you keep it? Many guys want to know.
Ray: "Sum tai" (the way you look at things)....how to say it...be happy. And actually, before, other than filming series, during free time I don't have any interests/hobbies...right now I play with toys.
FDJ: What toys do you play?
Ray: I play with "moe ying" (building stuff), shup-gum (?), Kubrick...because I play with something I can keep my mind on. So usually when I don't have to work, I have something to do.
FDJ: But you will [?] which series/models/figurines? Like que-brick...
Ray: Que-brick, I like. But I basically buy everything that's pretty. But the problem is that I don't have enough space in my house.
FDJ: [couldn't hear what she said]
Ray: Those? Right now I don't have enough room to put those, so I didn't buy them.
FDJ: Then what kind of new collection?
Ray: New....those Gundam figurines...actually all painted kind.
DJ: But how much time do you put into building it? Usually it take a long time.
Ray: I uh...don't really have much time to build...
DJ: You put it down halfway through building it?
Ray: Yeah.
DJ: When you're finished you go back and paint it?
Ray: Yeah.
FDJ: Ai-yah. Very funny. Eventually one box finishes after 2 years...Well, actually we have endless questions, and can also open our phone lines again for everyone. Ray: This song is originally the subtheme of an ancient series, but pretty modern.

FDJ: Actually, I like Ray's modern (series). I remember in Survivor's Law, many guys wear their bags sideways.
Ray: But during that time I wasn't in Hong Kong, was filming Twin of Brothers.
FDJ: While promoting...
Ray: ..I just promoted in one function while the series was airing.
FDJ: That's ok, there's Yummy Yummy. When can we see Yummy Yummy?
Ray: I believe, if nothing happens, before summer.
FDJ: Wow, great.
Ray: Hopefully...
FDJ: Are there any "churng how" we should be aware of?
Ray: "churng how"? When filming this series I felt it very wierd because we actually had to hang on wires, but not a lot of scenes. I couldn't guess that even filming modern we'd use wires.
FDJ: Hang on wires in modern?
Ray: Like piggyback.
FDJ: I though taste was so good you fly up
Ray: It's not that cartoony...it's ok...talk about some young people's friendships...pretty good...pretty healthy
FDJ: This time's partnering [something, can't hear clearly]...any sparks?
Ray: Kevin, before I've met him but the first time to work together. Pretty good. Big brother, but not older than me by a lot. Takes good care of us. And also worked with Charmaine. Just finished working with her in Leathal Weapons of Love and Passion, and afterwards will work with her again. Yeah, we're pretty close. Then Tavia, don't have to say.
FDJ: Don't have to say. Now, Tavia's votes are currently 2 close votes behind Myolie. Based on the actress who you work well with (chemistry), maybe later will catch up.
Ray: Ok.

FDJ: How is it? What do you think of the series?
Ray: This series, because it's also all-scene-filming [meaning they film everything with real scenes], but this time is very different from TOB. The "hay may" [straight translation says "air scent"] is heavier. TOB is more like animation. This time they talk about the people fighting each other...
FDJ: Everyone must pay attention to the emotional scenes, eye-acting...
Ray: There's a lot of that...the character is very cool.
FDJ: What do you think about Charmaine (Seh)?
Ray: Seh is definately, in terms of working, definately don't have to worry. Her...how to say...she's kind of girlish, kind of playful, kind of boyish/tom-boyish sometimes.
FDJ: Didn't know that!
Ray: Like with people that are closer. The meaning of boyish/tom-boyish is she's very nice...
FDJ: Very "song long" [meaning fast/easygoing ?]
Ray: "Song long"...very "song fy" [actual translation says "smooth fast"]...talking to you, wouldn't turn corners, very "hoe" [sorry, can't explain it].
FDJ: Wow. Now, we know that Ray worked with just about everyone.
Ray: Almost worked with everyone.

Ray: Personally, they know some Cantonese. All jammed up, there's Mandarin and English...and they taught us some Singlish...Wow, very funny! Watching the series you'll hear some Singlish. Yeah, very funny.
