2007 NFL FOOTBALL POOL RULES
Payouts Weekly Winner Overall Winner 1/25 of total pot 1st Place 3/25 of total pot 2nd Place 2/25 of total pot 3rd Place 1/25 of total pot Picks must be in one hour before the first game of the week to Ben Parsons E-mail is preferred bparsonsATshawDOTca If at all possible, please try and submit the picks in the supplied spreadsheet (also available online), or alternatively as text in the same order. '(I use a lot of macros, and so if the picks are not in the same order, it plays with my macros) Please try to supply the City names as they are e-mailed to you, rather than the team nicknames. (Same macro issue). If picks are not received by the deadline date, you will receive the lowest score achieved that week. If a weekly submission has a mistake AND it is caught prior to game time (no guarantee), Ben will try to contact you.
Entry fee is $25 for the season. Weekly prizes will be awarded, as well as a cumulative 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize.
If your entry fee is not received by the start of games in week three, you will be dropped from the pool.
Type the name of the team you think will win each game in the winner column.
Rank each game winner from 16 to 1, with 16 being the most confident and 1 being the least confident. The ranking is your 'wager' on that game.
- You cannot have the same ranking 'wager' for more than one game (ie. Cannot have more than one game ranked as 16) - There are a number of weeks with only 14 games played. During those weeks, rank the winners from 16 to 3, with 16 the most confident, and 3 the least confident. - Any duplicate rankings will automatically be changed to a ranking of 1 for each.
If you pick the correct game winner, you win the 'wager', and receive that number of points. (i.e. if you wager 16 points on Miami and they win, you get 16 points. If they lose, you get 0.)
Highest total weekly points wins the weekly pool. Most games right does not necessarily win. It depends on how you ranked/wagered your picks.
Points are accumulated throughout the year with the poolster with the most points overall winning the yearly pool.
Overall standings will be provided each week.
Multiple entries are allowed, but each entry must be identified with a 1 or 2 because of the yearly accumulation.
