| Theres another similarity between the white horse of uffington and nazca. The local tradition that had lasted since Neolithic times in England at the village of Uffington was called the scouring of the horse. On a summers day the entire inhabitants would turn out and brush the lines of the horse whereas Indians local to the nazca figures had a tradition of walking the lines as a part of their religious ritual. Both practices helped to preserve the shapes though of course over the years the Uffington horse built on a hillside has suffered from a little deterioration. Even in recent recorded history it has changed from what we see today to this. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It used to be a dragon according to local legend. So in the past it was even more similar to the Nazca/pokotia/ inscription. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Remember the candelabra, well heres another English chalk figure called the long man of Wilmington. He points the way to Uffington and can be seen from the coast just as the candelabra on the other side of the world in Peru can. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
