Mexico City: Chapultepec Palace
Chapultepec Palace, in the heart of Mexico City, is a beautiful historic palace that has been made into a museum. The main topic in this museum is the time when the Spanish colonized Mexico, and the revolution that gained them their independence. It was a nice way to fill in the gaps from our mostly prehispanic sights, explaining how the prehispanic culture became the Mexico we know today.
Visitors are not allowed to take photographs inside of the palace, but can take pictures from the balconies, the gardens, and outside of the palace.
The palace as seen from the path leading to it from the park.
From the balconies, there is an incredible view of Mexico City.
A troop picture in the gardens. This was one of our last days in Mexico, and we were exhausted. From left to right: Mercedes, myself, Abigail, Danielle, and Amanda

These stained glass windows look out on the gardens.
