Subj: Re: my voice recordings have been deleted... [kar77ly] Date: 9/6/2005 4:15:43 PM Pacific Daylight Time From: Chitaroar To: support@freewebs.com You did answer the ? I asked...that support id still available via email. The rest of the email was just pointing out that I use the same speed now that I use then to upload the voice recordings, and they were fine--whereas they are now distorted. And that maybe you do not hear it from your end, because you told me that you experience a string of errors due to recent upgrades, that domains were experiencing a problem, and it was something the developers were fixing when I email you about my site not coming up either from my account, or the web Since the email was after the voice recordings were uploaded, and I did not mention it--I was simply stating that I would have said something about the recordings if there was a problem with them then. You also state that there may be a few minor error of this type (site not showing, etc) over the next few months as you continue to update your system. So in conclusion, I was pointing out that since these recordings were already recorded, and not live/streaming, they should not have a lot of gaps or blank spaces. Where the originals are fine, and the ones uploaded to the site distorted so badly. We did not find any other questions in your last Email. Please specify the question so that we can better assist you. Best Regards, FreeWebs ----------------- Original Message ------------------- Why should I "simply come chat with you in Live Chat?" Isn't tech help available in email form anymore? And than you for clarifying what the differences beween the Managers are. As to you not hearing any "blank areas...or spaces" in the recordings this is a surprise. When the recordings were first uploaded to my site, I listened to them several times to hear how they sound. There was not a problem. And this is me using the same connection speed, etc now as then. If there was a problem with them, I would not leave them like they are now. And I sure would have email you about it from then. I spoke with Live Chat twice on 8/23/05, and send a email about my site not coming up from either my account or the web--receive a response then that it something the developers are fixing &that domains were experiencing a problem. The next day I also receive an email from you stating that "FreeWebs experienced a string of recent errors which arose as a result of recent upgrades..." and that you hope they were fix, and were the last of these errors. You also stated that "we expect there may be a few more minor errors of this type over the next few months as we continue updating our system..." sao maybe this is what is causing the recordings to sound distorted on my end and not on yours. All I can say is, if these recordings do not have blank spaces or areas in them when recorded, they shouldn't sound distorted when uploaded to a site. They are not streaming, where they are buffered, and you would hear stops, gaps etc. It is something that is already recorded and is playing.
