I strolled about today, dragging my feet upon the ground
No real direction sought, just feeding my soul without sound
You've heard me mention, the love I hold inside for you
A love so strong and caring, a love that is meant for two.

And, as I walked upon the shore, waves splashed upon my feet
With a calming invitation that somehow made me weak
Not knowing, from one moment to the next, if you would be there
Or if we would travel life together, a journey we could share.

As I glanced into the sky I noticed the odd star
Questioning the direction of my life, my fate is what you are
A knight in shining armour, so it would seem
You became reality and saved me from a dream.

Combine my soul with yours and let's try to have some fun
Let the waves splash upon both our feet, through the water we'll run
And in the end, take my hand and caress my cheek
As you hear, "I love you", when I softly speak.
