Shaharazad 1992, Style #1144
|
|
From her feathered turban to her bejeweled slippers, Shaharazad is a vision of loveliness from ancient Persia. She has coffee-colored skin, black eyes, and long curly black hair. A pink chiffon veil modestly covers the lower half of her face. Her turban, bodice, belt, and long coat are of a matching brocade. The magical brass lamp dangles from her wrist. Shaharazad is not part of Madame Alexander's International collection, but rather of the Cissette Portrette series. The story ~ Shaharazad is the latest bride of King Shahryar, who for three years has married a new wife every night only to slay her the next morning. To divert him from his murderous intentions, she holds his interest with tales such as 'Aladdin and His Magic Lamp' for a Thousand and One nights. Fascinated by her stories, he allows her to live day after day, until he finally realizes that he simply cannot kill her. |
