My theory is "Don�t be scared to try something new" and Do it Now!

I didn't come from a long line of craft people so I am mostly self taught. I have done a class with Jo Ellen Trilling, Ann Clemens and Gloria Muddle. I teach at Adult Education and have taught my own private classes for the past 5 years.

I have been making sculpted dolls for about 3 years. My first sculpted doll was "Inside Every Thin Person - There is a Fatter One Trying To Get Out" which travelled the USA with a Zaftig Challenge. It was also displayed at Doll U and Jekyle Island in the USA 1999.

I don't take myself too seriously as a doll designer; I love to teach, I love to use my God given talents to motivate people. To plant seeds of creativity into some ones head and see the look of enjoyment on their faces after they have achieved something, they never thought they could, so take that word "Can't" out of your dictionary and go and do it now, as tomorrow may never come.

Barry just loves going on holidays to Queensland. Cloth doll 40cm height. In this class you will learn how to make a three piece body, string joint arms, ladder stitch the legs and you should almost complete your doll, as you don't have to spend a lot of time making clothes.

Dragon Baby

This Dragon Baby is 20cm in height. In this class you will learn needle sculpting, face drawing, ladder stitch. Thread jointing, dyeing of lace, making wings, melting material, some fabric manipulation, beading, three piece body pattern and you should finish your dragon on the day.

Flight of the dragon
One Day Class

Flight of the Dragon is 18-1/2" in size. The head has two pieces but is manipulated to form nostril, teeth, open mouth, horn on the head, eyebrows and jaw. The body has 3 pieces. In this class you will learn how to needle sculpt, fabric manipulation, wire armature, clipping and turning points, ladder stitch, string joint, paint on fabric, make wings and burning material (to shape it).
