| Mr. Miura is a graduate of Pacific University, Oregon, BME Music Education '79. He completed his student teaching at Beaverton High School, Vose Elementary and Merle Davies Elementary all in Beaverton, Oregon. Mr. Miura began his music career at Central Intermediate and Kawananakoa Intermediate under the direction of Mr. Stanley Shimada. He also studied the clarinet under Mr. Shimada. Mr. Miura later attended McKinley High School and was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for all 3 years, graduating in 1975. At Pacific University, Mr. Miura studied the clarinet under Dr. Albert Freedman and has performed in the Band, Pacific Community Orchestra, Lewis and Clark Community Orchestra, and The Theater in the Grove.
