There is a hole within my heart,
which only one love can ever mend.
There is a void within my soul,
where strife will fight and rend.
A neverending battle, a war.
Solitary self confinement.
Yet, one light may let me soar
within the reaches of enlightenment.
One light may shed its embers
upon a darkened self.
One light may shed its warmth
upon a cold, blackened health.
Yet, one question comes to mind
as quickly as it may.
Do I embrace this fully,
or begin to lead it astray?
Another inquisition exists,
although none easier to ask.
Do I allow this light so near
that I must remove this mask?
So long in darkness I travel
within the guise of light.
So long in mourning I wither,
the waning of my might.
A feeble mind and feebler form
is all I have to show.
Let this light come forth to me
so that the answers I shall know.

One Love

There is only one love
which can release me.
This self inflicted prison
seemingly meant to be.
This self realized horror
embraced with passing days.
This self imposed hatred
for self, you may say.

There is only one love
which can bend these bars.
This mind numbing image
of fruitless, useless wars.
This treacherous villainy
so ingrained upon my mind.
This thickened plot so tasteless,
Lost thoughts I will not find.
