Recharge History
As told by: OfF KiLTeR
Though many believe that the Dreamwright of Insight, Ibioc, was responsible for the creation of the art of Recharge, it was not his invention, though one could say that the discovery of the art was his.

Albestor, DiBauda's apprentice. had created an art that had similar properties to that of Recharge. Being DiBauda's student, he knew that he too would be sought out and dreamstruck as he was still a threat to the Dreamstrike Masters. However, the love Albestor felt for the Dream was so great that he did not fear being dreamstruck, but instead felt a heavy sense of loss for not having any way of dreamers being able to show other people in their shard any proof of the Dream's existance, or being able to pass down this knowledge to others so that they may, one day enter the City of Dreams.

Albestor put many days and nights of thought into what he may be able to bring back to his shard. He discovered that by adding his own insight, combined with the dreamsoul that surrounded him, he was able to strengthen items, and make them more durable.

He conducted many experiments with as many items as he could find. He found that the items he loved best were the ones that held most meaning to him. He recharged 3 items to a strength higher and stronger than that of the best abyss shield there was. The first item was an imprisoned essence token, given to him in his youth by a soulmaster Dreamsmith. The second was his own essence, which bore his likeness, and the third was a rough scrawling of some of the teachings of DiBauda.

From there, grasping one item each dream, and channeling his insight and dreamsoul into the item of proportions never before and never again seen, he woke.

Legend has it, that these three items disappeared from the dream and that he was able to carry them back to his Cloudsbreak shard. Though please note, these rumors have never been substantiated.

His discoveries were scrawled upon a wall in Evernight Plateau, where he was discovered by members of the Entrophy Coalition. Upon their discovery, they persued him down Evernight, and Dreamstruck him. Only one dreamer discovered his writings before they were lost, Ibioc. The Master Dreamsmith did not fully understand the purpose of these writings and changed the amount of Insight used to create the art we now know as Recharge.

Ibioc first denied the works as his own, but rumors travel faster than chak fire, and eventually could not dispute the creation of the art as his own.
* When Recharge was first created, it worked somewhat differently. Upon plateauing the art it did add one extra charge per plateau but the drainage amount also increased! So at level 11 you could add two charges per evoke but if it drained you would lose twenty charges. Ouch!

* Each Talisman in the city has a certain amount of charges that can be added to it. Some call this the max charges it can hold but that simple isnt true. Though you can only charge an elemen up to 19 charges, it is possible to gen an elem with 29 charges already on it.

*The charges you can "max" out each talisman with the art of recharge is as follows:
Alterors = 24 charges
Chakrams = 49 charges
Charms = 99 charges
Codices = 99 charges
Elemens = 19 charges

* Shields have the ability to appear to be Recharged but though it will waste your insight in attempt to add a charge to a shield no extra charges will be added.

*Forged Items are the exceptions to "Maximum charges" rule because Forged items have as many charges on them as their creator can make, For example, a few of us do have our forge to 29 so the items we make will have 29 charges. BUT  if you try to recharge a forged item (for example we will use an elem) an elem forged at 29 will revert back to 19 charges if you try to recharge it.
