Looking for info on my mother's family. All I have so far is, Sylvia Kemp b.Dec 1937 in Wallesely, Cheshire, England. Her father is Arthur Kemp. Her Mother's maiden name is Wyniferd. Sylvia Kemp d.December 22,1970 in Camden, NJ. Her family is English said to be from Blackpool or Liverpool, England. My mother never received her citizenship and during one of her visits to England, I was born in Liverpool.

John & Elizabeth (nee Pearse) Kemp were at Chipstable, Somerset UK with their family in the 1871 census,
about to leave the area. I have only found one of their children, James b.1860 living with his Uncle Henry Enos Kemp
at Trehafod S.Wales in 1881. Where did the family go? Where are Caroline (1861), Henry & Charles (1871)?
Did they go abroad to say South Africa?

John was the son of John Larkin Kemp of Ireland, m. Emily Bird 1868 at Woodchester, Gloucs.
John and Emily honeymooned in Italy and both he and his wife made a number of landscape paintings while there.
John exhibited landscape paintings in London 1868-1876 and had an art school. John was still living in 1908 at
which time his address was Rockleigh, Clevedon, Somerset.
Would like to learn the date and place of John's birth and death and further details of his artistic career.

Jessie Kemp, my gg-grandmother, was born 26 Jan 1835 at Woolwich, Parish of Charlton, Kent County, England. Parents Alexander Kemp and Charlotte (maiden name unknown), sister Charlotte Kemp born 1831 Woolwich. Married William Patrick Walsh in 1860, District of Chorlton, Lancaster County.
Alexander Kemp was in 1835 a bombadier (gunner) in the Royal Artillery, residing in Woolwich; later a coppersmith. Deceased by 1860.

My g.g.grandmother was Charlotte Kemp. She originated from Froyle in Hampshire England in the early 19th century. Following her marriage to Charles Jacob Hewitt (from the Isle of Wight, she migrated to Hull in East Yorkshire.
Charlotte's ancestors originated from Selborne in Hampshire. I have collected quite a few names from this family; many of them worked as blacksmiths.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone with similar connections.
