- John Camp/Kemp
John CAMP/KEMP was born ca 1723, and married Anna VAN VORST, daughter of
Jacobus and Anna (Beck) Van Vorst, and widow of Nicolaus Van der Bogaert,
cira 1761. Four of their children were baptized in Schenectady, New York at
the St George's Anglican Church. He resided in Guilford township in
Ballston district, Saratoga County, NY in 1772 census, and was on the
1779 tax list for Ballston. He was a Private in the King's Rangers in
1780. The family migrated to Fredericksburgh, Addington County, Ontario, Canada
as early as 1784. Some of the family eventually went to Norfolk County
in Ontario.
