Poems 2004 - Scribblings from a funny old day 19th March
Mothers Day It's just a day That's all it is. What's the fuss; Tell me what gives? A mother of four Yet just of two. Half a mum - nothing new. The choice wasn't mine It was taken away. My boys are my life -it's only a day. I miss you mam. My babies too. My little men, Mummy loves you. See, people don't see the pain. They see the sun bounce off my face; They see the smile, joy of life; My comical 'grace'. I skip and run and laugh. The more I hurt, The more I know that life is -painless....
God; fill my lungs with the sweetest of air. Open my eyes to the life around. God; fill this soul with a love affair. My senses sharpen each new joy found.
The sun shines every day Clouds are temporary. Inflictions on my soul. My existence validated.
