GLAY is the band in japan. Takuro is the leader of the band. Teru was a drummer but Takuro was impressed with his singing so he told Teru to join the band.Takuro was in Guest-apo but later he left to create a new band. He wanted the music to the black music-which was punk rock and also, he wanted white music-which was pop rock so Takuro thought of the name Glay because Black and White=Gray, and we pronouce it "Gurei". Takuro and Teru were friends for a pretty long time so they had a good start for the band. Hisashi was in ANT(ARI) and he was the lead guitarist and one day, Takuro asked Hisashi to become a member of Glay but Hisashi at first said" This band is just a copy of "BOOWY". Glay has worked pretty hard to beat the other "visual rock bands" in japan such as: Luna Sea, L'arc en ciel. Glay was formed in 1988. It happened when the 4 members were preforming at a club and suprisingly, one of the members of X JAPAN was there and saw their performance and acceppted them into the JROCK world. Takuro wrote mostly all of Glay's songs. Takuro is a very good composer and he is actually quite tall, he is 183cm Glay's most eye catching members are Jiro and Hisashi. Hisashi has his own style-that really cool hair.Teru said that Glay's music is pure so Teru won't put on make up when he sings. Glay's new release "GLAY VIDEO 4" was released in the spring time, it's a very good music video! Glay is also releasing a GLAY VIDEO REVIEW, which includes 22 videos of Glay. It will be released in September 2001. It contains two DVD's of non-stop Glay video's with unseen footage of Glay backstage and maybe some scenes from their EXPO 2001!

GLAY
Glay has just released their new single STAY TUNED. Also, Glay has just finished their concert- GLAY EXPO 2001 GLOBAL COMMUNICATION. The concert was a big hit. The concert was held on July 28, 2001 and the location was at Tokyo Stadium. An enormous amount of fans showed up- 50,000. The concert started at 4:30pm and lasted for 3 hours! Teru started the concert with their second newest song-Global Communication-Oh Yeah! The second song introduced their newest single- STAY TUNED. After these two new productions by Glay, they continued to excite the crowd of 50,000 with their all time classics- Survival, Yuuwaku, Soul Love, However and much much more! Special guests from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Thailand showed up to make this event even more exciting and heart pumping. Glay, continue with the good work! Arigatou!
