| 4,000,000,000B.C.
The first of the humanoid races seeds worlds throughout the galaxy with humanoid genetic code. An advanced computer algorithm message is imbedded within the DNA and scattered in pieces throughout at least 19 planets. They might be the Imotru, or possibly their descendants will be [TNG 246, TNG #47]. 2,000,000,000B.C. The Tagus III civilization flourishes. By the 23rd Century it will be long extinct and an acheological interest. In 2374, Q will take Picard back to this period on a tour of his younger days to witness the fabled Sky Divers of Tagus III. A barbaric ceremony enjoyed by young Q (at times with his young female Q date), he will view the spectacle every year for a millennia until their extinction. The ancient Taguans call themselves the Imotru and bear a distinct resemblance to the unnamed humanoid genetic code seeding beings of some 2 billion years earlier, suggesting a common evolutionary link [TNG #194, TNG #47]. 1,000,000B.C. On Rigel VII and Rigel VIII, the Masters plant new and promising life forms which, in a million or so years, will develop into sentient, starfaring and reverent species that will acknowledge the long-dead Masters as gods. As the Masters' civilization was dying and their people dwindling away, they do slipshod work in genetically engineering the Bodas, an intelligent species kept for pets. The Bodas are conceived with a shambling gait, harsh speech, and (by the Masters' standards) imperfect reasoning and a faulty moral sense. Shortly thereafter, the Masters disappear [FASA]. 102,700 B.C. Interstellar war breaks out between the satanic Furies, rulers of the Alpha Quadrant civilizations, and the insectoid "Unclean" viroids. The Unclean will sweep across the 217 million systems known and mapped by the Furies, immune to the Furies' terror-projection weaponry. Taken by surprise, the host (666 separate races bound together into a single people) are driven first from the planets at the galactic rim (suggesting that the Unclean hail from outside the galaxy). The war will rage for 100,000 years [V #9]. 101,700 B.C. At the end of the first millennium of the war, the Furies are forced to retreat from the rim of the galaxy by the Unclean. For century after century the Furies retreat. The first great stand engages 93,109,907 Fury vessels as recorded by Subcrat Ramszak the Ok'San. The last great stand will involve a mere 50,000 ships [V #9]... 77,630 B.C. The Fury of Vulcan is recorded by the testimony of many witnesses when a Vulcan hunter-warrior named Torkas of the Vehm kills 97 of his own village with a leaf-bladed Toth spear before being killed. Ok'San the Overlord of the Furies is the most despised of all Vulcan demons and she represents loss of control and loss of reason. The Ok'San are the Sanoktisandaruval of the Furies who have enslaved the Vulcan people through the use of terror-projection machines. The Furies will rule the Vulcans for tens of thousands of years, burning their domination into the Vulcan race memories, until the arrival of the Unclean (viewed as gods by the Vulcans). The terror weapons have no affect upon the Unclean so the Ok'San throw their Vulcan slaves by the tens of thousands to the Unclean to die. The Furies flee Vulcan, vowing to return and reclaim what they own, and the planet of suddenly free slaves falls to barbarism. The "war of all against all" will continue until the time of Surak [V #9]. ?11,800 B.C. ?The Senate hall on the Klingon homeworld is built [ON 1]. 7,630 B.C. Klingon honor stretches back to this era (Lt. Worf will claim) [TNG #38]. ?4,632 B.C. The Lathanta of 30452 FAS III (Eul Ma'ak Lethantana) develop interplanetary flight and land on 30452 FAS IV (Ma'ak Krannag) intending to exploit their sister planet's resources. They discover the tribal Krann and enslave them and their world. Over the following centuries, the Lathanta strip the resources of Ma'ak Krannag and force the natives to worship them as gods [TNG #37]. ? 2,750 B.C. Kohl becomes the Klingon God-patron of medicine on the Klingon home world [MRM]. 2,700 B.C. Interstellar war between the Furies and the Unclean draws to an end in the Alpha Quadrant. Tiin, the Cannibal Whose Bed Would Not Be Shared, commands the final defense from the Autocrat's chair. A small fleet of a few thousand ships lures the main contingent of Unclean, attacking them from out of the black, breaking a four-century truce. The entire remaining field-unity of Unclean go in pursuit and when the last Fury ships retreat they number 21 out of more than 4,000. When the Furies prepare to die, approached by the Unclean from different vectors, they are thrown through the Bajoran wormhole's backwash (energy released 5,000 years into the past from c. 2371 A.D.). Light from the subspace tunneling is so great that it will be detectable for 3 or 4 millennia. The swarms of the Unclean are decimated but not annihilated, and they will take up residence along the eastern spiral arm of the galaxy for the next five millennia. The defeated Furies civilization (consisting of the Danai, Bardoi, Ak'lins, Sakill, Jequat, and others) is banished to the far side of the galaxy. During the first few decades, millions perish while the civilization falls into barbarism. A thousand year dimness begins. Their entire culture will be based solely on returning to "Heaven" (the Alpha Quadrant of the Near Side of the galaxy) from "Hell" (the Delta Quadrant of the Far Side of the galaxy). Some survivors of this war in the Alpha Quadrant end up stranded on pre-Federation home worlds in the Near Side of the galaxy. These include Earth, Vulcan, Andor, and Orion among others such as the Klingon home worlds, and even the Ferengi will know of them. On Earth, they will form many of the demon legends (in conjunction with the Danons' visitation?) and the basis of Druidism. On Vulcan, they are called the Ok'San. The Klingon race will be most strongly affected (calling them Iraga, Shushara, Hullam'gar, and the KdIchpon), the demons promising to return with the Havoc and consume the weak [TOS #79, TNG #41, DSN #16, V #9]. 1,625 B.C. The ancient Klingon language and/or the House of Martok stretches back to this time period [TDW #4]. 1,240 B.C. The Kgha'lugh star system (Sector 937) is destroyed when its sun goes through its first red-giant stage, incinerating all the inner planets. One such planet is probably the homeworld of the Danai.By the 23rd Century this system will fall under the domain of the Ruchma Province in the Klingon Empire [TOS #79]. 817 ADKellein, daughter of Vathraq, is born on Qo'noS. Toragh becomes a metalsmith. In 20 years he will forge the first batlh'etlh ("sword of honor") under orders from Kahless [GN 24]. 826 On Qo'noS, Kahless son of Kanjis, begins service under the tyrant Molor as a warchief [GN 24]. 832 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) Drought and famine followed by plague ravages the village of Miriiah. It will last for over two years [GN 24]. 833 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) In the foothills of the Uhq'ra Moutains, Kahless saves the life of his monarch Molor [GN 24]. 834 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) At the village of M'riiah, Kahless demands tribute on the behalf of Molor. The poor village, suffering from drought and famine, cannot pay and Starad (son of Molor) threatens to burn the village. Kahless forbids it and kills Starad. In mutiny, he and his men become outlaws. Morath, son of Ondagh, joins them [GN 24]. 835 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) Kahless and his men take refuge at Lord Vathraq's village. Kellein, daughter of Vathraq, becomes betrothed to Kahless. On the run from the tyrant, Kahless and his companions narrowly escape Molor's soldiers. Heading south, Kahless encounters Edronh and his men who ally themselves to his cause [GN 24]. 836 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) Kahless returns to Vathraq's village only to find all its people murdered by Molor's soldiers, including Kellein. In a rage he rides off on his s'tarahk. Moroth follows Kahless, blaming Kahless for the ravaged village, claiming he used his men for his own purposes. The two warriors wrestle but Moroth still remains a pursuer, haunting Kahless for six days and six nights. At one point Kahless contemplates suicide but Moroth convinces the older warrior to dedicate his life to those that had perished. They return to Vathraq's village twelve days after their departure. Legend will amplify and distort the story to Kahless and Moroth wrestling in the hills for twelve days and twelve nights; Morath being identified as the brother of Kahless. In the village of T'chariv, Edronh follows the orders of Kahless to spread the word that he is gathering an army to march against Molor [GN 24]. 837 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) In his first full-scale clash with Molor's forces, Kahless kills Molor's second son, Yatron. Kahless, from loss of blood, falls unconscious and in a feverish state dreams of Kellein. She instructs him to build a special sword taking a lock of his own hair and dipping it in the hot blood of the Kri'stak Volcano, then allowing it to cool in the waters of Lake Lusor. Kellein also warns him of Edronh's treachery and plan to sell out Kahless's forces to Molor. Kahless, following his feverish dream, seeks out the metalsmith Toragh to forge the first batlh'etlh. Legend, however, will yield to Kahless's dream rather than the actual account [GN 24]. 838 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) Kahless and his men clash with Molor's forces in battle after battle at Serra'nob, An'quat, Tolar'tu, and Qa'yarin. Shurin, a good friend of Kahless, dies at the battle of Tolar'tu. For every one of Kahless' outlaws that fall, two of Molar's soldiers fall [GN 24]. 839 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) Molor's castle is taken by Kahless' men--fifty of his best fighters are equipped with batlh'etlhmey. Kahless beheads Molor and hurles it out into the heart of the battle. The death poem of Molor will be considered a classic in years to come. The cost is high: Morath dies for Kahless, taking Molor's d'kt tahg blade aimed at Kahless [GN 20, TNG 249, GN 24]. This is perhaps the time of the legendary battle of Fom Kerdath: Bardak Linron the traitor fights the forces of Kahless to a standstill in a six-day period. Kahless loses the battle when Bardak sends his best general, Renarg, to negotiate terms for separating the combatants. Renarg enters the tent of Kahless's high command with an arrogant list of demands, but his terms are a ruse having strapped high explosives around his body, conceiled beneath his armor and clothing. Detonating the munitions, Renarg sacrifices himself to kill Kahless's entire general staff. Only by a miracle Kahless survives, having stepped out to relieve himself from the night's drinking [DSN #22]. 854 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) Kahless The Unforgettable unites the Klingon home world during this era. Kahless and the Lady Lukara begin the greatest romance in Klingon history, after holding their ground against 500 warriors who stormed the Great Hall. It is the dawn of the (planet bound) Klingon Empire. He sets the pattern for the Klingon race's ruthlessness and honor [GN 20, DSN 501, SC]. 869 (The Heroic Age on Qo'noS) With the tyrant overthrown, Qo'noS united, and the people given a set of laws by which they could conduct themselves honorably, Kahless The Unforgettable writes down the true account of his life. He then departs for a place called Sto-Vo-Kor: "Where no one lacks sustenance or bends his knee to anyone else. Where in every hall, the clash of swords rings from the rafters. And where men hold honor above all else." Kahless indicates its location by pointing to a star in the evening sky before leaving. A monestary will be established on Boreth in the future, the world orbiting that star. The so-called Heroic Age of Qo'noS will shortly come to an end. The achievements of Kahless will be recorded in the Sacred Texts, though distorted by myth and legend. In 2263, the Excalbians will re-create Kahless based upon the conceptions of Captain Kirk and Commander Spock of the "Enterprise." In 2369, a clone of Kahless will be created. In 2371, the long-lost scroll of Kahless documenting the man's real life history will be uncovered on Qo'noS by Olahg, and utilized to spearhead a conspiracy against Gowron [TNG 249, SC, GN 24]. |
