SONG CHALLENGE WINNER!
This CHALLENGE! was posted by popular demand (it would seem) and/or by thread creep from another thread. (For info, check out
this thread).
The CHALLENGE! was to write a song about food -- your favorite food, your least favorite food, the things in your refrigerator, etc. Any food-based topic
was fine.
Today The Chocolate Left Me Brown by Callie
Summer day, flies a-swarmin'
On your skin, sweat's a-formin'.
Come the three o'clock snackie blues
The chocolate bar begins to ooze.
Oh dear, what's the matter?
The sweetie is stuck to the wrapper.
There's this yearning in my glands,
But now the stuff's all over my hands.
I'll never get a mouthful
In this dragonfly-time of the year.
So I'll dream of firm brown fields
And shed a tear.
