FEBRUARY 2005
The first week of the month is coloured by 3 astrological
events. On February 1st Jupiter goes retrograde at 18 dgrs 52
Libra, after 8 months of direct motion, and will retrace his steps
back until he reaches 8 dgrs 56 Libra, on June 5th. This will
give us ample time to reevaluate all these past months�
developments on the relationships level and make the
necessary corrections. The last time that Jupiter crossed 8
dgrs 56 Libra was in November last year, so events and
situations encountered between Nov 6th 2004 and the present
moment will come under close scrutiny now � could be
something related to relationships with friends or business
partners from abroad.
Someone from the past may now come
back into your life. As this point comes within 1 dgr from
Vindemiatrix, a rather unfavourable fixed star, there seems to
be some misunderstanding needing to be settled.
On February 2nd Venus enters the freedom-loving sign of
Aquarius, leaving behind a painful conjunction with Chiron and
a tough square with the Moon nodes, difficult configuration
with deep karmic connotations. The somber times are over
now, broken hearts have a chance to start mending,
relationships to get back on track and finances to improve � what can we ask more ?
Five days later Mars enters practical and ambitious
Capricorn, helping us keep our heads cool, carefully dose our
energy and impulses, get practical, plan and organise our life
and business more efficiently than we have lately.
All this happens against the background set by the Febru
ary 2nd Last Quarter Moon at 13 dgrs Scorpio. Last quarter
moons are moments when we see the final result of the actions
initiated at New Moon, therefore we can now reap the rewards
or pay the bill for the actions started around the New Moon of
January 10th. Certain situations however require a much
longer time to develop and get concrete, material form. So,
besides the current events, we can now see the results of a
situation we were dealing with around the Scorpio Lunar
Eclipse which happened early May last year. Scorpio spells
passion and money, so there seems to be something related
to either our love life or financial situation�or maybe both� that
finally takes concrete shape and we can have a clear image of
where we stand. However, a note of warning : with the Sun
conjunct Neptune, beware of confusion, illusions, self-delusion
or downright deception!
The New Moon of February 8th happens at 20 dgrs Aquarius in conjunction with Mercury and Neptune. Favourably aspected by Jupiter and with Venus close by, this seems to be the best New Moon of the year, opening a period of increased interaction with friends, hope and optimism. Inspiration and intuition reach their peak level and we might come out with some truly brilliant ideas. New projects can be started now, and all things related to long-distance communications, computers and the internet have a real nice chance to develop and run smoothly. On another note, with Mercury so strategically placed between the New Moon and Neptune, the moment seems perfect for secret communications of all kinds, which do have all the chances to remain secret. I cannot help thinking that, with Venus due to arrive in the same position around St Valentine�s Day, things will happen mostly on the romantic level.
And happen they will, activated by the dynamic First Quarter Moon of February 16th . The same day Mercury enters Pisces, followed by the Sun 2 days later. We become more introverted, sentimental and compassionate. And more secretive. Our psychic capacitities and intuitive powers are at their height at this moment, reaching sometimes disquieting levels. The dreams we make are very vivid and should be taken note of, as the access door to higher, psychic and spiritual realms is wide open now.
Secret attractions and love relationships get an ethereal quality and chances are that some long-term friendships, almost imperceptibly, start turning into romance. The Moon in Taurus and Mars in Capricorn favourably supported by Uranus heighten chemistry and help materialize drive, impulses and desire. Moneywise, the period can prove favourable too, as long as we plan very well our moves and avoid risky investments.
This is also the moment when you can take a firm, positive step forward in a situation, relationship or state of things initiated around May 19th last year, which may have felt rather tense and trying at that moment - emotional blockages, frustration, jealousy, painful
separations, financial problems,etc. You have now the chance to start correcting things � and you should really not waste this opportunity. If you do, things will get worse and by mid November the situation will get even tougher.
The Full Moon of February 24th at 5 dgrs Virgo happens with the Sun in close conjunction to Uranus, so prepare for the unexpected ! With Venus sextile Pluto, we are in for some surprisingly positive developments on both the romantic and financial plane. Further on, things can only get better as Venus enters dreamy Pisces (her exaltation sign) on February 26th , hurrying towards her annual meeting with Uranus (stop reading for a moment, close your eyes and think back mid January last year, when these two last met. I bet you have some sweet memories still fresh in your mind, at least on the romantic side if not on the financial one,too!). The month ends on an intriguing note, with planetary aspects setting stage for truths unveiled and calculated risks taken in love and monetary matters alike. In terms of long-range develpments, this Full Moon marks the culminating moment in a situation, action or relationship which started around end August 2003, involving extreme tensions on the financial or sentimental plane � or both! A first dynamic moment occurred around end May 2004, when things were equally demanding and tense, filled with unpleasant surprises, emotional frustration, deception and separations. This Full Moon on February 2005 opens a first and last window of opportunity, and a last chance to turn a difficult situation into a winner. Full Moons are about having all the facts and putting cards on the table, prefiguring the desired turn of events. Please take my advice and make the best of these favourable planetary aspects to make things take the way you want. If you don�t, you�re in for bitter disappointment, sorrow and heartbreak, no later than the last week of November. It�s all up to you now. |
