In 356 B.C. Alexander the Great was born in the ancient capital city of Pella.  Pella is located in Macedonia.  He was the son of king Philip II and princess Olympias.  Aristotle was his teacher and taught him science, literature, medicine, and philosophy.  In 336 B.C. tragedy struck him when his father was assonated.  After his fathers assignation he tuck over rule of Macedonia. When he took control of the country he realized that he many different enemies around him.  To deal with this problem he killed off all advisories and he restored order to the country. 

In 335 B.C. he started his campaign with the Greek army and began his conquest on becoming one of the worlds greatest leaders.  He visited Delphi and was told by the Oracle that he is invincible.  He thought of him self as the descendent of the great Hercules.  And that he was a god.  The death of Alexander is still a mystery and is still trying to be solved.
Italy�s location benefited Rome in many ways.  Since Italy is a peninsula it allowed Rome to bunker into the location.  Since it was one solid land mass it allowed Rome to be more unified than Greece.  The coastal regions all so allowed Rome to have good ports for trade and commerce.  The mountain ranges allowed great land barriers and borders. The many plains created great areas of land for the Roman�s to settle. 


Since Rome was on the Italian peninsula it allowed Rome to be a more united country and allowed them to send important information faster than Greece.  It also allowed the Roman�s to be more united as a hole. It would of also allowed them to be able to fortify the country better during war.  And the relation to the sea that Rome had plenty of good ports for trading and to learn many new things from other countries.

Nobles and Serfs were different from one another.  One controlled the land and people and the other had to obey the lord of the land.  Serfs had no rights what so ever.  They had to work hard and do what ever the lords of the manor told them to do.  They even had to pay their lords fee�s when they got married, used the local mill to grind grain, and if they inherited land from their fathers.  Serfs had to repair their lord�s bridges, fences, and roads.  They also had to farm the land for their lords.  Despite all the work they had to do and the fact that they didn�t have rights they still had some good things coming to them.  They were allowed to farm land for themselves.  They also had a place to live and food to eat.  And they had protection from raids and so forth.

Nobles and Serfs were not similar.  They lived side by side but they were different in every way.  The Nobles gave the orders and basically controlled their lives.  The Nobles gave them a place to live and food to eat.  And the serfs were forced to work for the lords for the rest of their lives.  They were required to work for the lord�s.  And in return they were housed and feed. But neither the Nobles and or the Serfs were educated so they shared a common bond.
