Ancient Rome is a beautiful majestic place.  Its a thriving country with many

trading ports and street side shops.  The architecture is magnificent.  I can hear the people

talking about the theater and the gladiatorial events. Statues of past emperors adorn the halls of the Roman buildings. The empire is controlled by the emperor.  The Roman council is having a meeting to discuss new laws.  The cheers coming from the Coliseum as the gladiators fight for the amusement of the people.    I see the Roman legion walking through the streets in their arm ready to fight at a moments notice.  The street venders are selling beautiful vases and plates.  Pictures of past emperors depicting past battles won and lost.  The buildings are works of art with huge stone columns with gigantic arcs in between them.  The smell of the fresh food in the market place fills the air.  The size of the coliseum makes the entire surrounding buildings look like miniatures.  The Roman empire is flourishing like no other.  The sounds of the theater eco in the background.  This is what I saw when I visited ancient Rome.
