Note from the GM about guild behavior, requirements, etc.
Although this is just a game, the human players are real.  The time we spend building friendships with people, though we might never meet them face to face, happen on a level that goes beyond the scope of the game itself.  I was in a different guild before I started this one, and I wound up leaving because the guildmaster himself was a jerk!  No one ever really talked to each other or helped each other out there either.  In starting Dogz of War, I wanted to make a guild where people could feel comfortable and make a lot of friends.  Being able to talk and quest with other people, I think, really enhances the gameplay too.  As this guild grows, to include members of many different levels and races, I hope we can help each other out and really enjoy this experience.  Special attention, as much as possible, should be given to new guild members so we can include them in our guild community.  To accomplish this, a new ranking system has been designed and more people will be promoted to officers as time goes on.  There is only one unofficial rule for joining Dogz of War, and that is: be nice!  Conversely, people should feel comfortable to be themselves, so let's all have patience when dealing with other members and not be too easily offended.  As far as rank goes, the more one is willing to welcome new people and help the guild, the higher the rank one is going to achieve.  It would really be great if we got a reputation of not only being kick-ass fighters, but also a cool group of people who are kind and friendly to everyone.  That's what I would really love to see!  As far as behavior in the guild and that sort of thing, I personally try to avoid using stupid slurs and sayings that might offend people.  I know sometimes we get pissed at the game and stuff comes out...nobody's perfect...but I'd like to try and avoid using offensive language on any kind of regular basis.  It would also be good if we could keep in mind that there are younger teens playing this game, so we might also try to avoid any overt sexual references (I mean like really nasty stuff) and drug references too please.  Of course, this only applies to the guildchat and other players we meet in the guild. If you have personal friends who you talk or quest with, then by all means do whatever bizarre things you want to do!  Lol.  I don't mean to censor anyone; I just ask that we all (including myself!) try to keep in mind that there are members of different ages and persuasions.  Thanks, and good hunting.
