| 10th Anniversary | ||||||||||||
| October 2nd 1996 - October 2006 (and beyond!) Well who would have thought it, 10 years on and still going strong. After moving over here to Lancing from Shoreham-by-Sea we are still training owners and their dogs. Shoreham-by-Sea Dog Training Club ran from 1965 until 1996 and then, with retirement of the people that ran it, we took over and moved to Lancing creating the name Lancing Canine Obedience Group. If it hadn't been for the people that started Shoreham we probably wouldn't exist. So a big thankyou to them. Sara and I (Brenda) started training our own dogs with Shoreham and then as the retirements came along we became more and more involved with the training of owners and their dogs. Now, after moving to Lancing Sara and I are very much into helping owners train their dogs to be good canine citizens. We would very much like you all to join us in celebrating this anniversary by coming along and seeing us and saying hello. Either with the dog that you had then or maybe with a new companion. We know that as years go by we lose some of our much loved dogs but, we, like a lot of doggy people, take on new companions. So, please come along and say hi! For eight years we were at the Scout Hut in Manor Road (thanks to Tom Smith) but we now train at the Lancing and Sompting Lions Community Hall in Roberts Road, Lancing (thankyou Lions). We are there from 12 noon til 4pm each Saturday. If you would like to come at any time, then just give us a ring! We look forward to seeing you. The present course finishes on October 14th and the next starts on November 4th for seven weeks. If you are a past or present member and would like to leave us a (short) message then please click on the guestbook link below. Brenda and Sara Redford Tel: 01903-762600 |
