Vampire Love
Chapter one: The Elfin Beauty
~Mystic Mcgee~
Have you ever loved another, but knew that such love could not exist?
I have  And Ive learned to pay the consequences.
One who is immortal could never fall for one who is not.
Thats the law around here  Or much rather the truth.
To be immortal and watch your lover change with age and soon wither away
Who would want to face such pain, the pain of lost?
I wouldnt, though I know I faced this pain before.
But the pain I faced was caused by something different yet similar at the same time.
Never did I disobey the law around here, but I did put one thing into question,
Can true love be found when youre a vampire, or is it just lust?
This is my tale.  The tale of a vampire who loved another but didnt know if such emotions were true  Or false
This is my tale!
The tale of Mystic McGee and the lovely lady Mist Vasriel!
***
The night skies were a dark crimson as the crucifying of a young poor soul was in order.  The moon also shone a bright red.  Crowds of white ghastly figures formed a circle around the large brown cross, which Jesus once hung.  Hanging now was an elfin woman clad in silver robes.  She wore an amulet that bore a red jewel, designed to look like a falcon and a red headband, encrusted with jewels of all sorts.  With hands, a peach color, tied onto the cross, and hair glistening red, as was her eyes, she was surely a sight to behold.
I, Mystic McGee, marveled at the way her hair shone with the moon.  She was absolutely perfect when viewed from my eyes  But from the growls the others gave her, they surely didnt agree.  Perhaps it was the fact that she was elfin that made my heart beat a thousand times faster than usual.  After all, its been nearly a century or two, since last I saw one of my own race.
My eyes explored every ounce of her body, when finally they laid at rest on the amulet she wore.  This amulet  It looked quite familiar, though from where Ive seen it, I couldnt remember.  Suddenly the crowd went quiet as the chieftain called for silence.  The Chief, Chief Armagago, was of much taller and muscular build than that of the others.  His skin, as were us all, was a ghastly white.  This all had much to do with the fact of his being vampire.
Thou fellow followers, art here on account of Lady Vasriel  She who hast walked on our lands without thy gods permission!  The king spoke with an accent that sent shivers down the spines of all who werent inhuman.  Several gasps and whispers were heard, but nonetheless, all was quiet.
The chief continued.  And finally, when what felt like hours but was actually just minutes past, the chief finished off with saying, Let thee suffer from thy mighty wrath of god!  Let thee feel what us of vampiric life have felt when at a lost for blood!  And so it has been spoken, and so it shall be done!
A loud roar was heard from the hundreds of vampires out there.  I too couldnt stop myself from roaring.  It was pure instinct that told me to do so, for I know that the others around here could smell my dissatisfaction.  Even though I wished not for the death of the young woman that this command had so strongly said to bring upon, I knew there to be nothing left for me to do.  I couldnt help her, anymore than I can help myself from the torturous life Ive had to endure.
I closed my eyes, praying to the lord himself, that hed help this elfin beauty.  Although I know it to be illegal for us vampires to pray to one who is holy, I found myself praying to this holy figure when in times of great need.  Today, I prayed even harder than usual.
When atlas I opened my eyes, the elfin beauty was staring at me with eyelids half closed.  I stared back, only to realize that the chieftain had already begun to put aflame the cross.  I gasped in horror, but for many reasons than one.  Although the main reason was because the women who caught my eye was soon to be burned to the crisp; another was because the cross of Christ, which has stood for many centuries, was to also whiter away  And there was nothing I could do to save it!
I was angered.  I felt a tingly sensation within myself and gave a small growl.  My eyes, though already a dark red, turned darker than usual, to the color of crimson.  My ruby colored hair seemed to glow with the fire that was spreading and my skin  My skin turned to an even more ghastly white than it normally was, as I clenched my fist.  My hands turned to claws, as did my feet and my fangs though already large and sharp grew larger and even sharper.  A bright light erupted from the amulet in which the elfin lady wore, causing a mass amount of explosions to occur.  I gave a monstrous roar as I charged straight at the chief.
The chief gasped as I tackled him to the ground.  Staring at my newly found claws, I began to strategize.  Meanwhile, the chief was slowly rising from the ground and staring at me with a look of horror in his eyes.  I smirked at him and slowly showed him my claws.  This only seemed to scare and even anger him some more.
Chief Armagago slowly turned his attention over to the other vampires that had moved slightly away (due to the explosions) and were staring at the scene.  WHAT ARE THOU BAFFONS DOING OVER THERE!  ART THOU NOT THEES LOYAL CLAN?!  HELP ME NOW BEFORE I SENTENCED THEE ALL TO DEATH!  The looks of fear presented on the others faces were quite humorous.  They all looked shock for a second and when they finally came to fight by their chiefs side, their expressions changed to one that would scare the living daylights out of any mortal.
True  Maybe I shouldve been scared, but I wasnt.  All I needed to do was free the- Hold on a second!  Turning my head, I stared at the elfin women.  She seemed to have fainted, but a red shield protected her from the fire That was a relief, but how much longer till the shield goes down?  While I was going through my thoughts, I failed to notice the sphere of shadow magic aiming straight at my back until it was to late.  With a gasp, I fell to the ground and clutched my chest, which now hurt like hell!
The chief walked over to me, and stared at my pathetic form lying on the ground.  I squinted, trying to see through the shadows that had begun to cloud my vision.  The chief continued to stare at me, with his clan standing right behind him.  I was part of his clan  But after this act, Im sure that I wont be allowed back.  What a relief!  I was always rejected because I was an elfin vampire
I growled at the chief, warning him to step back.  This only seemed to amuse him further and so he slammed his foot on my face.  I began to feel lightheaded, but still I continued to hold on to consciousness.
The chief crouched down and lustfully stared at my body.  Although I felt strongly disgusted by the look he now wore on his face, there was nothing I could do.  I slowly began to close my eyes, wishing for my life to end.
Do not worry thou fellow fiends  Thou will get your turn, the chief said to the others as he slowly began to unbutton my shirt.  I winced at first, but slowly began to calm down.  When at last my shirt was unbuttoned and removed, he began to touch my chest in a slow pace, until he reached my pants.  I growled slowly, knowing full well what he intended to do.  In a quick motion, I scratched the chief on his face, and watched in victory as I saw him quickly get up and grab his face.  Using the little strength I had left, I got up and kicked him in the crouch.  The chief wheezed and fell into unconsciousness.  I stared at him, slightly entertained.  I didnt know that the chief was so weak!  I began to laugh, when I was suddenly hit in the head with a hard object.  Turning to see what it was that hit me, I saw a grinning vampire with a huge rock in his hands.  Oh shit!  I forgot about the other vampires!  Too late to realize that, I suppose.  The others were forming a large circle around me, trapping me in one place.   What to do?!  What to do?!  I quickly looked around, searching for an escape.
*Ignore them, I shall lead you to safety! *  I jumped up slightly as I heard someone speaking through my mind; telepathy I suppose.
*Who are you? *  I replied in my mind, hoping that this person could really help me.
The person replied in a hurried voice, *No time for introductions, just free the binds of the elfin beauty by chanting this spell. *  I was slightly surprised for a second.  The voice seemed to have been teasing me when it said elfin beauty.  Was he or she reading my mind?!  Oh well no time to think about this now  Theyre closing in on me!
*Quick, chant this spell!  I give you the spell of binds released! *  A sharp pain entered my heart, as I clenched my fist tightly.  Slowly but surely, the lines to chant came into mind.
I closed my eyes and began to chant the spell, Of kingdoms afar, hear my cry!  Release the binds that tie thee down!  Over the seas and onto the land, I command thy gods on which I pray to help me now and release thy in which I WANT TO BE FREED!  A bright light erupted from the amulet in which the elfin beauty wore.  It caused a wave of water to come from nowhere, which forced the fire to go away.  The ropes (which were fire resistant) that bound the elfin to the tree shone with the same light that the amulet emitted and then they vanished, freeing the beautiful elfin.
The vampire crowd had watched all this in silence, shocked for theyve never seen anything like this  Or perhaps they had, but I wasnt there.  Right when they thought all was over; the amulet once again began to glow, but this time the light wasnt red  It was white with a tint of yellow in it.  I became scared at that moment.  This was a sure indication of light magic.  One hit with light magic and any vampire would die from it.  But  If this elfin knew such magic  Why didnt she use it before?  Everything was so confusing.  I could tell that the other vampires were also as scared as I was.  At last, the light spread throughout the area.  Screams of pain were heard as the white light hit every vampire in the area.  I too screamed  But truth be told the pain was not much.  Feeling dizzy, I fell to the ground, unconscious.
