Pictures of Mom's With Puppies

The reason I have created this page is to educate on the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Yes the pictures of the puppies are very cute but everyday cute puppies and kittens are being destroyed at the pound because irresponsable pet owners did not spay and neuter their pets.

Before viewing the pictures, and they are cute, let me tell you about a day in my life. So if you are considering letting your pet have babies then think again. It is a lot of hard work.

I get up very early in the morning to take pregnant dogs outside to go potty. Sometimes they wake me up at 3:00am. They can't help it. Puppies are pushing against their bladder. Then I feed puppies and clean out their pen. Yuck, doggie do do everywhere. I scrub and disinfect the floor and clean puppies who stepped in the do do then jumped on the other pups, not to mention what they might have already gotten on me. eeewwwww.

Before noon I have to clean the puppy pen again before they get do do on their feet. Then it's playtime . Each one needs to be hugged and kissed. If it's warm outside then outside we go to play. By this time Lilly my cat has joined in the fun. She loves playing with the puppies, as you will see. An hour later it is back in their pen for a nap.

Afternoon around 2:30 it is feeding time again. Yes I have to clean the pen again and lay down fresh newspaper. Hopefully no puppies stepped in their do do and I won't have to clean any puppies.

Evening time and I have to clean the puppy pen a gain. Yippy, it's feeding time and everyone acts like they haven't had food in days. One last play time outside before it gets dark. Here comes Lilly again. Now we go back inside so that I can clean the feeding dishes and hug the puppies.

Just before bed I have to, you guessed it, clean the puppy pen again. I am very tired and wouldn't you know it, someone has runny stool and everyone went slipping and sliding through it. Well, so much for going to bed early. I have to scrub the pen, let it dry, spread fresh newspaper on the floor and give everyone a bath. By the way, the litters of puppies usually consist of 8 to 12 pups.

I won't even get into the doggie do do I have to scoop in the backyard every other day. Let's just say that my neighbors have named me the pooper scooper Queen. They think it's funny but I'm not laughing.

My feed bills and vet bills are very high. My veterinarian teases me that I should just put a cot in the back and stay, I would save money in gas. I am always taking in stool samples to check for worms, getting vaccinations, heartworm checks... You can't imagine how much food a dog eats who is nursing pups. She must have plenty of food and fresh water available 24 hours a day.

I believe that if you are going to rescue animals that if yo u can't do it right then don't do it at all. I make sure that the mom's get their shots, get wormed, heartworm checked and spayed before I adopt them out. The puppies get their vaccinations and wormed. I also give out an information care packet and dog tr aining guide.

I do everything I can to make sure my puppies and their mother get good homes. I wouldn't have to go to all of this work if people would spay or neuter their pets. I just look at all of the puppies and kittens that I can't save. The numbers a re staggering. Again I stress, PLEASE have your animals spayed or neutered.

Okay, I've made you wait long enough. Click on Next at the bottom to look at puppy pictures. Hurray, finally.
