I will only list some of my pets. I have too many to post pictures of all of them.

This is Lobo with a pet cockatiel of ours or should I say, "His pet cockatiel." He is a mixed breed. I rescued him when he was just 5 weeks old. The owners of his mother didn't bother with spaying. As a result she had a litter of unwanted puppies.

Lobo was like a mother to all baby animals. He especially loved baby bunnies. I had a French lop rabbit when I brought Lobo home to live with my family. He would run around the house chasing the rabbit. At one point, he would hop like a rabbit. It was the funniest thing to watch. For several months, Lobo thought he was a rabbit.

He was the best friend my two children could of ever had.

Lobo passed away Sept. of 1997 at the age of 16.

This is Thunder. She is a 9 or 10 year old brindle Great Dane. On her back is Lily a mane coon mixed cat.

I rescued Thunder out of the county animal shelter in Nov. of 1996. She was left in the night drop off without any information about her or what her name was. I knew that an old Great Dane would not be adopted so I adopted her. Thunder has a wonderful personality. She is very well behaved and gets along great with all of my other animals as you can see from the picture. I have a second Great Dane named Roxie. The two look like sisters and get along very well. They had a few squabbles at first but quickly learned who was boss. "ME"

Lily is a mane coon mixed breed cat.

I rescued Lilly out of the county animal shelter in the summer of 1997. She was only 7 weeks old and was going to be euthenized. I was told that she was a common color and nobody would adopt her because of that reason. She has been a joy to have in our family. She greets everyone who comes over and loves to be held by anyone and everyone. She loves to play with my dogs and when she isn't playing with them, she likes to sleep on their backs.

This is Roxie with her pet Macaw, Rocko. I purchased Roxie when she was 11 weeks old in January of 1991. As you can see by this picture, Roxie is wonderful with our other pets. She is nosy and has to have her big nose in everything. She has had her floppy lip grabbed and pulled by a blue-fronted amazon rescue and her nose bit by one of my breeder blue and gold macaws. She still likes the birds and continues to stick her nose where it doesn't belong.

I purchased Rocko a Blue & Gold Macaw in 1990 when he was 5 weeks old. I don't recommend purchasing an unweaned baby bird but, at the time I was breeding birds and had hand fed countless babies of my own. I hand fed Rocko and wouldn't you know it, he bonded to my husband.

Rocko loves to open his presents at Christmas. Rocko also loves to steel the dog's presents as you will see in the picture below that he also likes to steel my children's Christmas presents.

It is very dangerous to have other pets around your birds. I never leave my animals unsupervised when they interact with each other. I really don't let the birds play with the dogs or cats but sometimes they manage to climb down from their play gym and go looking for the dogs and that is how I managed to get these pictures.

One scratch from a cat can kill a bird.

I have heard many horror stories of dogs seriously hurting their family's pet birds so please, always keep a close watch over your pets.

Many wonderful pets are waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelter. Please spay or neuter your pet.
