| Day & Night Rescue Rehabilitation and Relocation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the Golden Retriever. Our mission includes the following goals: |
| To educate the public about Golden Retrievers To teach and encourage responsible dog ownership To promote the importance of pet sterilization To resue, rehabilitate and rehome Golden Retrievers in need. |
| About DNRRR |
| DNRRR is a non-profit organization run solely by volunteers. We take in Golden Retrievers that are turned in by their owners, dogs in shelters, and strays found roaming the streets. Each dog taken into our rescue program is spayed or neutered, immunized, checked for parasites, placed on heartworm preventative, and rehabilitated as necessary before placement. Additionally each dog is temperament tested to see how they respond to children, other dogs, cats, and other situations they might encounter in a normal setting. Public education is an importan part of the rescue effort. DNRRR volunteers are always willing to answer questions about the Golden Retriever specifically and dog ownership in general. |
| Adoptive and Foster Homes |
| All adoptive homes are carefully screened using an application and interview process. All adopters sign a detailed contract in which required care is carefully outlined. An adoption fee helps recover expenses incurred by Day & Night Rescue Rehabilitation and Relocation. Foster homes are always needed by any rescue organization. Donations are always desperately needed. Crates, towels, crate pads, old sheets and blankets, dog food, bowls, medicines, wormer, heartworm preventative, leashes, collars, clickers, training aides, toys, reciept books, carbon copy printer paper, printer paper, printer ink refill kits, etc. are always needed by Day & Night and by other rescues too.
