1st Offence -- Band Write Up. 2nd Offence -- Band �D� Hall loss of chair and Call to Parents 3rd Offence -- Removal from rehearsal, Office referral, and Conference with Parents. 4th Offence -- Removal from rehearsal, Office referral, and conference with parents and Assistant Principal. Recommendation to be removed from program. Band �D� Halls are to be served after school. Failure to serve will result in an office referral. We reserve the right at any time to add, delete, or modify these standards and consequences in order that your �rights� to an education free of disruptive conduct can be guaranteed. REHEARSAL PROCEDURES 1. Enter the Band Hall in an orderly and timely manner. Those who choose not to will be asked to leave and enter again. If you are asked more than once it will result in a Band �D� Hall. 2. Read the board for instructions and be ready to rehearse one minute after the tardy bell. 3. Rehearsal will start when the director is on the podium. At that instance there is to be no talking. INSTRUMENT STORAGE All band instruments and music folders will be stored in the Band Hall in either a locker or a storage space. During class, students will store their cases in their assigned space. NO cases should be left on the floor. If you are assigned a locker, you must have a lock on it at all time. After school ALL BAND INSTRUMENTS MUST GO HOME. The band hall will remain open until after athletics practice so students may pick up their instruments. It is understood that band athletes will not be able to bring their instruments home on game days. GRADING SYSTEM Assignments will be made each six-weeks based upon that period�s activities. These assignments will include practice records, in and out of class playing assignments, chair tests, help sessions, written work and performance participation. The relative weight of each assignment will be determined at the beginning of each six weeks. |
