| GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS
1. ALL INSTRUMENTS AND FOLDERS GO HOME EVERY DAY. YOUR GRADE WILL BE AFFECTED IF YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR MATERIALS HOME EVERY DAY. 2. The director will begin instruction by standing on the podium. Once a director is on the podium, students must refrain from talking or otherwise disturbing the class during instruction. When the director is speaking you should be listening. 3. No food, drinks, or gum allowed in the band room without the director�s permission. 4. Band instruments are to be stored in the Band Hall. Band instruments are NOT to be stored in school buildings other than the Band Hall. 5. No running or horseplay in the Band Hall. 6. No playing on any instrument that is not yours. That includes percussion equipment. 7. Instruments and folders are to be stored in assigned lockers and storage spaces. If you are assigned a locker, it must have a lock on it and be locked at all times. Instruments and music are the only items that should be in the lockers and storage spaces. 8. Student�s names are to be clearly marked on instrument cases. 9. Backpacks or extra books are not allowed in the Band Hall during class. No items except purses or small cases (flute and clarinet only) may be kept under the student�s chair during class. 10. No students in the director�s office without permission . 11. The Band Hall is off limits to students whom are not band members. 12. All students are to listen and to obey all instructions given by the director and participate FULLY during rehearsals. The only items that should be in the set up are your instrument, supplies, music, and pencil. 13. Students must enter and exit the band hall in a timely manner. Class will begin in a timely manner. Tardy students will sign the tardy log at the beginning of each class. 14. Students are to have all materials for class each day. This includes instrument, music, folder, extra reeds, pencil, valve oil, etc. BRING THESE MATERIALS TO YOUR CHAIR FOR CLASS. Do not expect to be excused from class to get forgotten supplies. |
