Well we had our first performance the other day and the kids did GREAT! I was really proud of them. They have come a long way in a short time. Starting next week we will begin learning our music for the next concert - Christmas, December 12th, 2004 2pm -. Please keep encouraging your students to practice on a daily basis and have them perform for you. Kids really find it neat when their parents listen to them play.

Things are moving at a pretty good pace. Our beginners are slowly but surely getting better sounds on their instrument. Please be patient and give them lots of encouragement. Have them play for you nightly. It is very important that they practice on a daily basis. Their muscles are devloping but to get stronger and sound better, nightly practice is VERY important. The kids seem to be very excited about being here and we have enjoyed having them in our band program.
