Article 1:  The name of the organization shall be Doggone Kids 4-H Club.
Article 2:  The objective of this club is to aid in the development of 4-H members and to                    establish and enforce rules for showing dogs for completion of 4-H projects.
Article 3:  The officers of this club shall be President, Vice President, Secretary,                              Treasurer, Reporter, Recreation, Historian, Health & Safety.
Article 4:  4-H clubs do not discriminate against race, religion, creed, color, national                         origin, physically impared or sex.
Article 5:  The general meetings of this club are open to any parent, or interested party.
                                                       
BY-LAWS
Article 1:  The officers shall be elected at an annual meeting in November of each year.
               A.) A term of office shall begin in January and continue to the next year.
Article 2:  The duties of the officers shall be as follows:
               A.) The President shall preside at all the meetings of the club and have in mind                        at all times the best interest of the club members and of this club.
               B.) The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President in his/her                               absence and such other duties shall be assigned by the President.
               C.)  The Secretary shall keep a record of all proceedings and handle the                                  necessary correspondence of the club.
               D.)  The Treasurer shall receive and take care of all money belonging to the                            club, shall pay it out upon order of the club and shall keep accurate                                 record of all receipts and expenditures.  Records will be audited                                      annually.
               E.)  The Reporter will post articles of meetings in the local newspaper.
               F.)  Health & Safety will report on health and safety matters at each meeting.
               G.)  The Historian will keep records of the club's annual activities so it                                    becomes a keepsake for generations to come.  Ideally a scrapbook of                              pictures and information which describes the club events in as much detail                       as possible.
                H.)  Recreation leaders should have a game or activity for each club meeting.
Article 3:  Committees for special purposes may be appointed by the President at any                       time.  Said committees shall report their findings to the full club for action.
Article 4:  A quorum shall consist of half of the 4-H members present.
Article 5:  A quorum shall be necessary to pass rule, conduct business, and elect officers.
Article 6:  Each 4-H member shall have one (1) vote.
Article 7:  Robert Rules of Order shall govern the meetings of this club.

Mission Statement & Behavior Guidelines
This club is formed to promote friendship with other children and to promote good canine citizenship for dogs, and to become better acqainted with the proper training and knowledge to use for training dogs.
RULES
1.
Treat all members and advisors of clubs with respect.
             
A. Zero Tolerance of unethical or unsportsmanlike behavior towards others.
2. Treat Animals with kindness and respect.
3. Use proper equipment while training.
A. Proper Shoes; no sandals, no open front or open back shoes; no flip-flops.  Proper Show clothing when required.
B. NO GUM CHEWING WHILE TRAINING.
4. Keep animals properly vaccinated.
5. 4-H members must attend training sessions.
A. No more than 5 absences will be excused to participate in county fair and skillathon.
B. Member must attend 8 meetings out of 11 to show at county fair. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR PREMIUMS FOR THAT YEAR.
6. Parents, remember this is your child's 4-H project and their responsibility to learn to train and groom their dog.  You may help them or seek help from an advisor.  PLEASE DO NOT TRAIN OR GROOM THEIR PROJECT FOR THEM.  ESPECIALLY AT A 4-H FUNCTION.
7. Each year we will have a fundraiser for our 4-h activities.
A. Non-participation will result in paying your own way.
8. Violations will be dealt with by advisors and OSU extension on a case by case as needed.
