Longshot Pitbull Rescue

OUR MISSION: We rescue pits and pit mixes (and occasionally, very special non pits) from euthanasia at Bay Area Shelters. All our dogs are spayed or neutered, and up to date on shots. To adopt a Longshot Dog, you will need to fill out an adoption application. Once your application is accepted, there is a $100 adoption fee, 100% of which applies to future rescues.

OUR MASCOT: The smiling face you see to the left belongs to our mascot, Rupert. He was found in February of '99, starved to the brink of death, and badly injured.  He was 7 months old at the time. After several weeks of convelescence, he blossomed into an exuberant, loving dog, never one to pass up a chance to make a new friend or pilfer a tasty morsel from one's plate when they weren't paying attention. Now he is 80 pounds of pure love and joy.  He has changed many people's perceptions of this misunderstood breed.

Welcome!
