Effervescent Creatine -The 21st century of supersupplementation- "How It Ignites Incredible Size and Strength Gains" Can you imagine a natural, legal compound that can increase the work capacity for building muscle by almost 200 percent over what you get with powdered creatine monohydrate? Think of what that growth stimulation could do for your dog performance. Were talking slabs of new seam-splitting muscle, plateau-busting strength and a near-infinite supply of raw power at every workout. It sounds fantastic and excitingwhich means that we will have two questions right off the bat: 1) Exactly how does the compound work? 2) Are there any studies to back up the claims? In simple terms, it uses the same technology that enhances the delivery of many oral medicineseffervescence, which is rapidly becoming the standard in bodybuilding supplementation. This revolutionary method of getting nutrients and/or drugs into the bloodstream produces startling results, which is the very reason a group of innovative scientists combined effervescence with the number-one bodybuilding supplement, creatine, to produce the most incredible muscle-building breakthrough in years. What Do the Studies Show? Jeff Stout, Ph.D., a renowned strength researcher, performed a study involving effervescent creatine at Creighton Universitys Exercise Science Research Laboratory in Omaha, Nebraska. Using a test that simulates weight training, he compared anaerobic work capacity of subjects taking creatine monohydrate; creatine monohydrate plus carbohydrates, which, based on other studies, is currently the premier creatine transport solution; the new effervescent creatine; and a placebo. The preliminary findings are stunning. The effervescent creatine didnt just produce a slight increase; it ramped up work capacity by an unbelievable 194.9 percent over creatine monohydrate and 84 percent over creatine plus carbs. In other words, powdered creatine and carbs will have to relinquish its crown as the ultimate transport system. Effervescent creatine pummeled one of the best-selling brands and left no doubt that its the new standard for athletes worldwide. In fact, many professional athletes are already using effervescent creatine to achieve new levels of performance without drugs. (See Figure 1 for a graphic representation of the results from the Creighton University study.) How Does It Work? It wasnt easy to marry effervescence and creatine, but Mike and Joe Carnazzo and Dr. Sakurada saw the spectacular results effervescence was getting in medicine, and they knew it could take creatine supplementation to an elite level. While powdered creatine revolutionized bodybuilding and athletic supplementation, it was still flawed. The Carnazzos and Dr. Sakurada realized that fact after they saw how many athletes were taking up to 50 grams of powdered creatine a day in order to make up for poor absorption, a practice thats not only uncomfortable but also unhealthy. Excessive amounts of creatine can cause severe gastrointestinal distress, including painful cramps and diarrhea, and they also tax various organs, such as the kidneys. Athletes were putting up with that because they figured it was a necessary evil. What they didnt realize, however, is that taking more doesnt do the trickyour body uses only what it can absorb and excretes the rest no matter how much you ingest. The poor absorption is due to retention in the stomach. Powdered creatine isnt soluble in water, so efficient absorption of a powdered form is impossible for most people". The solution to the absorption problem is to manipulate the pH, or acidity level. That has two effects: 1)It strips the creatine molecule of its ionic co-electrical charge so its able to pass through the intestinal cell membrane, and 2)It causes the stomach to dump the creatine into the small intestine, where absorption actually occurs. Without the pH manipulation, creatine is trapped in the stomach for as long as four hours. With pH manipulation, however, the absorption rate is pushed to almost 100 percent, a far cry from the 30 percent absorption most people get with powdered creatine. Imagine the kind of gains you can achieve with your dogs when all of the creatine you give is actually absorbed and is readily available for your muscle structures. Effervescent creatine provides the majority of its creatine load through passive transport as well as by using creatine-specific receptors. That means it gives you a greater loading effect and can provide greater performance benefits for longer periods. What Else Does Effervescence Work With? You may already be familiar with the fizz of effervescence. The most recognizable effervescent product is Alka-Seltzer, and a number of drug companies are combining pharmaceuticals with the effervescent delivery system to attain maximal absorption. In a recent study subjects were divided into two groups. The first group was given two 500-milligram tablets of calcium carbonate and 200 international units of vitamin D, while subjects in the second group got 500 milligrams of calcium in the form of effervescent tablets dissolved in water along with 200 I.U. of vitamin D. Urine and blood samples were taken at various intervals afterward, and then one week later the supplementation was repeated, but the first group got the effervescent calcium with vitamin D and the second group got the calcium carbonate and vitamin D. The results were significant, as the effervescent calcium had an absorption rate that was almost double that of the calcium carbonate. Once again, manipulating the pH created a shift to the small intestine, which, in turn, led to maximal absorption of the desired nutrient, in this case calcium. Why Is Effervescent Creatine Absorbed So Efficiently? The fact that powdered creatine isnt soluble in water is the reason its impossible for everyone to achieve efficient absorption of standard creatine products, and it explains the meager 30 percent absorption many experience. Its also the reason so many dogs dont respond at all to creatine supplementationalmost 40 percent of those who try it, according to recent estimates. Effervescence solves the problem through a specific chemical reaction. Effervescent creatine is a combination of creatine monohydrate, potassium bicarbonate and citric acid powders. Once that combination hits water, the reaction between the bicarbonate and the citric acid produces the effervescent effect. That disassociates the creatine from its saltthe monohydrateso what you get is a powerful free-ionized creatine ready to flood the bloodstream and enter in the muscle structures for new growth and power. Free-ionized creatine is soluble and dissolves completely in water. That means no grit, and the creatine is completely absorbed once it enters the gastrointestinal tract. Other advantages of effervescence include the fact that its buffering action reduces the possibility of stomach distress and masks the harsh taste thats prevalent in standard powdered creatine products. With no harsh taste to deal with, the manufacturer only adds a small amount of flavoring. It also has 20 grams of dextrose to further speed creatine transport to the muscles.. How Do You Prepare It? Effervescent Creatine comes in individual five-gram foil pouches, so you cant make a mistake on dose. All you do is tear open the packet, pour the contents into 16 ounces of water, watch it fizz for 15 seconds and then can be drinked. The creatine enters the bloodstream in a matter of minutesnot just 20 to 30 percent of the muscle-cell volumizer but almost 100 percent. Theres absolutely no waste. That means you get much more size and power output from every dose. The manufacturer does recommend that you load with 10 grams for five consecutive days, as studies indicate that loading can increase total muscle creatine by more than 20 percent. The 2,5-gram daily dose after the loading phase maintains the high concentration. If youre looking for the next muscle-volumizing supercompound, nothing compares to Effervescent Creatine. With its buffering action and 99 percent absorption rate, theres no more overdosing in an attempt to get better effects. Whats more, for those who find powdered creatine unpalatable, undigestible and/or ineffective, this may be the solution youve been waiting fora true muscle-building breakthrough
