Airedale Terrier's

Origin: Country of York

This breed was developed in England as a cross between the English Black and Tan Terrier (now extinct) and the Otterhound. The Airedale was bred for tracking deer, bear, and other game. The height of these dogs should be between 23 and 24 inches, and the weight should be between 45 to 60 pounds, depending whether its female or male. The coat on this breed is generally thick and wiry. They are mostly tan on the head, with the exception of dark markings on each side of the skull, the feet, legs and tails are usually tan as well, whereas the body should be black or dark grey.
