ROTTWEILER NAMES

Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a large, heavy dog that comes from Germany and is usually seen with a dark black coat with light tan markings around the legs and face.  Unique to the Rottweiler breed are two upside-down tan triangles over each front leg and if the dog lacks these specific markings, he or she can be disqualified from a show.  The dog's ears are small and lay close to the head, as long, floppy ears are undesirable for a Rottweiler.  This breed requires very little maintenance and grooming, as their dark coat is very dense, thick and short.  Unfortunately, the Rottweiler is one of the many breeds of dog that continue to have their tails docked at a young age, mostly for cosmetic reasons.  Sadly, you will very rarely see a Rottweiler with a long tail.  It is important that Rottweilers be well-trained and socialized because not only do they make loving and loyal companions, the Rottweiler can be harmful and destructive, especially if allowed to run free.  Rest assured, however, that the Rottweiler is quick to learn and very intelligent, so training is usually not difficult if it is diligent.  Although Rottweilers are known to be aggressive, this is most likely a result of poor training and even abuse.
