DOE DEER BIG MAMA SCORING SYSTEM

WELCOME WHITETAIL ARCHERY HUNTERS!

What we are about:

Would you like to be recognized for harvesting a mature whitetail doe?  A scoring system has been developed for does.  It’s time that stalwart deer hunters be recognized for having the skill to harvest a mature doe.  It is just as difficult to harvest a mature doe as it is to harvest a buck with a bow and arrow.  There are scoring systems for bucks so why shouldn’t there be a scoring system for does?

This is why the Big Mama scoring system for does has been developed.  This scoring system will only apply to archery hunting.  This is because does are seen more frequently when out hunting, but it seems to be extremely difficult to get one within range to be taken with a bow and arrow.

A bow shall be defined as a compound bow, longbow or recurve bow.  Does taken with cross bows or with mechanical devices to allow the hunter to lock the bow at full or partial draw will not be allowed.

The doe must be taken while hunting in a fair and ethical manner.  The entry will not be allowed if the doe was taken in a manner, which violates any laws in the state, county, or province where the doe was harvested.  Any does taken over bait or while spotlighting at night will not be allowed.  Any doe taken in a non-hunting situation; such as struck by a vehicle or found dead will not be allowed.  Any other conditions considered unethical will not be allowed entry.
