I performancen 13+35 inng�r Emilie (13) og Rita (35). Arbeidet refererer til begreper som slekt, familie og mor-datter relasjonen. Hovedintensjonen bak 13 +35 er � vise et verk som handler om � ville v�re voksen, �nsket om � ta ansvar uten � presses inn i konforme m�nstre.
Rita Marhaug har siden endt utdanning fra den gang Statens h�gskole for Kunsth�ndverk og Design, arbeidet med grafikk seinere ogs� med andre medier som performance, foto og video. Hun har deltatt p� en rekke utstillinger i inn- og utland. Blant dem H�stutstillingen hvor performancen/videoen "Liten Mann" deltok p� fjor�rets utstilling med stor suksess.
I tidligere verk har fokuset lagt p� forholdet mellom betrakter , kunstverk og kunstner. I den direkte henvendelsen til publikum som Rita Marhaugs performancer har hatt, ligger et sterkt �nske om � tilf�re ikke bare verket men ogs� betrakteren en "ladning", � la kunstverket tre inn i en aktiv tilv�relse.
Emilie (13) and Rita (35) will participate in the performance 13+35 The work is referring to notions about the family and the relationship between mother and daughter. The main intention behind 13+35 is about the want of becoming an adult, the wish of wanting to take responsibility without being forced into fixed social patterns.
After Rita Marhaug graduated from the National polytechnics in Oslo, Norway, she has worked with diverse art forms such as graphics, performance, photo and video.
She has also participated in a long succession of exhibitions both in her own country and abroad.
In earlier work, Marhaug has emphasized the relationship between the spectator, the artwork and the artist. During her performances, Marhaug has often chosen to approach her spectator's in a quite direct manner. Her actions are in this way often characterized by being inter-actions, or to say an action in-between the spectator, the artist and the art work as a whole.
