Formation      التكوين

Question in the Past        السؤال في الماضي البسيط

                        * Question word  +  did + Subject + base form + .................. ?

                        * Did + Subject + base form + .................... ?

The verb " be " does not have any helping verbs in the past

                        * Question word + was " were " + ........................ ?

                        Was " were " + ....................... ?

Active and Passive    المجهول والمعلوم

                        * Subject + was " were " + p . p + by ......................?

                        * Was " were " + Subject + p . p + by ...................... ?

Impossibility     الاستحاله

                        * If ــــــــــــــــــ> Past Simple ـــــــــــــــــــــ> would + base form .

                        * If I were you , I would act differently .

                        * If Earth's surface were not be sold , would not be able to live .

                        Would + base form <ـــــــــــــــــــ If ــــــــــــــــــ> Past Simple .

                        Saleem would see the new books if he went to the library .

Negative  النفي

                       * Subject +did not + base form .......................

                        * Subject + was not " were not " ..................

The Past Perfect Tense

                            * The books had arrived .

  Question in the Past Perfect  السؤال في الماضي التام

                               Had + subject + p . p + ............................ ?

Active and Passive    المجهول والمعلوم

                            * Subject + had been + p . p  + by .......................

After & Before   

                            * After ــــــــــــــــــــ> Past perfect ـــــــــــــــــــــ> Past Simple .

                               * Before ـــــــــــــــ> Past Simple ــــــــــــــــــــ> Past Perfect .
