ABOUT DODGE BROTHERS D-8 1938

DODGE BROTHERS D-8 1938
The 1938 Dodge Brothers (D.B.) was mildly facelifted from 1937. The new radiator grille had narrower strips down the center, with narrower horizontal bars on either side spaced to harmonize with the new, horizontal hood louvers. The headlamps were mounted on the inner aprons of the fenders. A D.B. type emblem was again used on the grill, but this would be the last time for such identification. A leaping ram hood ornament was on top of the nose of the cars. The factory offered ten body styles, with the seven-passenger sedan and a division window limousine on a lengthened wheelbase. New 1938 features were all-steel, silent-safety body construction with insulated roofs, rear quarters, body, cowl and door panels and adjustable seats with a lever at the drivers left hand. Standard equipment included Autolite ignition, hydraulic brakes, single windshield wipers, dual taillights, improved engine mountings, self lubricating clutch and 16 gallon fuel tank. The limousine again had a leather front seat. Velvet mohair rear seat and division window between the drivers and the passengers compartment. The 7-passenger sedan had a pair of folding jump seats in the passengers compartment.
