MATT & PETE'S 1973 DODGE CHARGER SE
Like Mopar cars?? We own a 1973 Dodge Charger SE. The car was originally equipped with a factory 400 c.i. engine, but the owner swapped the engine to that of a 440 c.i. engine (7.2 L). The rear axle was also swapped as we now have a Dana rear axle - which we sure do slam down on quite a bit!  We put some big block World Product Torquer alluminum cylinder heads on by Indy (CNC ported), Edelbrock performer cam with a 480" lift, Hedman hedders, MOPAR valve covers, Edelbrock intake and 750 cfm 4 bbl carburetor, dual 2.5 inch exhaust system w/ some series 40 flowmaster mufflers. Our Charger has A-727 Torqueflite transmission in it, an OEM Mopar 4.10:1 rear end with sure grip positraction; The car channels it's power through a modified transmission which has a 2,800 RPM TCI Street Fighter Torque Converter and a B&M Transpak shift kit. We then proceeded to switch from some Radial Sport 28" tires to some 28" X 11.50" Mickey Thompson E/T's. They hook up a lot better, and actually with a 28" tire in our rear we are running more of a streetable gear ratio -- about a 3.91:1.
