Don't Let the Sun Go Down
Students are encouraged to begin each day as a "Bright Sun, Shiny Day". Students know that they "Don't Want the Sun to Go Down" on them by pulling a card from the classroom behavior system. Each student begins the day on a sunny yellow card. Each time they pull a card the color shows that they sun is setting on their day. Their goal each day is to have a sunny day!
Yellow---SUNsational Second Grade Student!
Orange---Warning of improper behavior and lose part of priviledge, such as recess.
Red---Lose priviledge to think about actions.
Purple--Fill out PLAN OF ACTION form, lose priviledge, and notify parents to help remedy the situation.
*Any action or behavior that is extreme will be dealt with swiftly by notifying parents and having a discipline form filled out and on file.
