While in Qatar, I used company issued weapons as part of my contract.  These mimic standard US Army issue, an M-16a2 and Beretta 9mm.
However, I maintain a few personal firearms suitable for security work, a few of which I'll highlight here.
This is my SAR-1.  It is a Romanian made semi-automatic rifle based on the AK-47 design.  The AK design has a reputation for extreme reliability, where the AK continues to fire long after other designs would have jammed or failed.  The trade off is reduced accuracy, especially at longer ranges.

This is a Beretta 9000S, chambered in .40S&W.  I believe it is a very nice compact pistol, and despite its width it is very concealable.  It makes a nice backup to the 1911, or as a concealed carry pistol when the 1911 cannot be effectively concealed. This is a Springfield 1911-A1 in "blackened stainless steel".  I prefer stainless or polymer handguns, due their resistance to corrosion.  This particular pistol came with most of the "custom" touches out of the box, an the only change I've made is to add Crimson Trace laser grips.
