People are struck by it, or feel it more often than one may think... I've been hit by it several times...Most recently in March, 2000. There was a bunch of us in Dan's jam studio... We were taking a break. A thunderstorm was coming... Dan said: (sarcastically) "So Jim - Tell us about all those times you were struck by lightning..." When I'd finished, it came in the window (which I was closest to) - at first in a hair thin streak, then got so bright we were blinded temporarily by it. It nearly blew out the PA gear that was still on. I said: "I wish John was here to see this..." Derek was there, he knows it's true... Later in the year, I got my wish. We were standing outside the house, looking right at each other as a storm was coming. That familiar hissing sound started building, and at some point before the "crack-boom", we saw each other flinch - More like "convulse".
