My opinion on the subject

On occassion I have flipped through the channels and found myself staring at some big haired, long lashed lady talking about how this person was healed of this or that. I have even watched a few of those shows through to the end, waiting to see someone grow back a hand or leg or see an obviously disabled person stand straight up and walk away totally healed--didnt happen. Why? Because these 'healers' are fakes. I dont think most of them mean to be, I believe they really believe they are healing people but it is obvious they are not. God did use the disciples and those in the early church to perform such miricles--why? To prove that these men were carrying a message from God. They did not have the New Testement as we have it today and the signs and wanders performed were to validate their message. Today the affect is often the opposite. Do I believe God still heals today? Absolutely. I just dont believe He does it using these men and women I see daily on T.V. I have seen too many contradictions between what these people teach, preach and believe and what the Bible teaches. Even the Bible says that the power to perform miracles was given specifically and exclusively to the apostles (2 Cor. 12:12). If there are men and women today with this power then why isn't everyone who seeks it, healed? If it is a matter of faith then why do very faithful and believing Christians get sick and die?
Biblical Times
Healings were instant, complete, and no one was refused healing. Healings weren't confined to illnesses that couldn't be proven or outwardly seen and they included raising people from the dead.
Today
Healings are generally not instant or complete and many walk away without being healed. There has not been one (that I have read about) doctor verified case of a healing of an organic illness and absolutely no raising of the dead.
