The Ptolemies, even though they are greeks, are received well and their dynasty is thought of as an equal of a native Egyptian dyntasy. For 300 years, the Ptolemaic dynasty ruled Egypt, allied themselves with the Seleucids and even sent troops to help out in Judea, as the Ptolomies saw their great city of Alexandria become one of the greatest cities ever of the ancient world, and the library as one of the great wonders itself. The Ptolomies evoke images of Cleopatra and the politics with Caesar and Mark Antony as Egypt would soon become another Roman province. This area has importance, but more so as a huge center of learning and Christian thought centered around Alexandria for hundreds of years after Christ.
