Perform Proficiency Information and Table

 

Perform (int) – This skill allows a character to do dramatic performance, singing, or other acting or drama abilities that can invoke certain emotions, feelings and expressions in others.  A bard can use performance to magically influence others.  Non-bards can perform all abilities except the bard specific ones.

These songs can make the singer so much more appealing to the audience, gaining a +3 charisma check for 1 hour after the listeners hear the song.

This is a storytelling technique not usable in combat, all listeners who are classes have a +15 morale bonus and will ask to join and help the bard on any quest or mission.  (This influences 1 NPC per 3 ranks.

 

The bard is so good at influencing others, those outsiders or elementals who fail a check, if they are able, will leave the plane just to get away from the bard.
