First Car: Dodge Viper
Brief History:
The car was designed by Chrysler Corporation as a new idea in the late 1980's to show of certain aspects of the company. No one knew if it was going to be a success and there was a lot of doubt surrounding the project. The team had one thing in mind when designing the viper and that was speed. A first model was shown at a Detroit motor show in 1989 and the orders poured in. By 1998 9,500 vipers were gracing our streets and racetracks. The car now has a huge following and a prestige value; the car is continually re-released and has become one of the most exotic American sports cars.
